As we journey through life, we will face struggles. Perhaps these problems seem overwhelming and unrelenting especially when it involves other people. As a human-person, we want to seek revenge using whatever means necessary, but that is our human nature at work. As a disciple of Jesus Christ, we must operate at another level. We must allow God to fight our battles and defend us. As David faced a giant on the battlefield, he insured that his enemy and everyone present knew the source of his courage and faith...
1 Samuel 17:47 And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord's , and he will give you into our hands.
When in a spiritual battle, we must understand our source of faith to wait and allow God to defend us is from God. We must take our hands off the situation and allow God to fight our battles. We must pray and fast as we proceed, but not allow our humanity to interfere with what God is doing.
As a Christian, we must understand that if people lie about us that that lie is formed in a demonic kingdom.
John 8:44 KJV
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Furthermore, you will be defended by God against those that come against you with their words.
Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord , and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord .
The point of this short blog is simple. God fights our battles. We do not wrestle with humanity, but are in a spiritual battle. People may attack you with their words and lie about you. They may do their best to destroy you and employ others to do their bidding. Jezebel had her eunichs, but remember that ultimately God has the final word. He will defend you.
As you endure your battle, ask yourself, who is fighting my battle...me or God?
