Prior to the Superbowl, I saw a post on Facebook that showed a picture with the Lombardi Trophy being hoisted and the word "Believe" across the width of the photo. It was a post to announce the support for the Baltimore Ravens. Although, the person posting on Facebook did not play they believed the Ravens would win and overcome the obstacle that layed ahead...the San Francisco 49ers.
Jesus once said, "He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." (John 7:38). The word "believeth" is translated from the word meaning "to have faith in". Having faith in Jesus Christ is more than admitting that you believe in Him but living according to the Bible. When our lives reflect the scripture it will cause us to seek salvation, but also live a lifestyle that is pleasing to God.
I believe that God...
...but, if we are to "enjoy" the benefits that God gives, we must live as God wants or "as the scripture hath said". When we fulfill this commandment our path becomes clear to God's plan for our lives. Whether you have never been to church or have gone every Sunday of your life, we must look in the mirror and ask, "Am I doing what God wants me to do?" Am I living in a way that is pleasing me or Jesus Christ?
I encourage you to study the Bible and pray to hear the voice of God. If you need help, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
