Have you ever made God "plan A", but have plan B in the back of your mind?

Have you ever prayed about a circumstance or situation in your life while not heeding the voice of the Lord?

Have you ever missed what God is trying to tell you?

There is little doubt that you have gotten in the way of God's plan for a situation or even your life.  The Bible is filled with men and women that were called by God that looked very human at times.

Elijah
1 Kings 19:4 (KJV)
But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O Lord , take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.

Peter
Luke 22:61-62 (KJV)
And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. [62] And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.

David
2 Samuel 12:7-9 (KJV)
And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul; [8] And I gave thee thy master's house, and thy master's wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things. [9] Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the Lord , to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.

Looking human, is not unforgiveable.  God's plan for your life does not stop when we make a mistake nor does God somehow forget our name.  His grace is extended each time we fail.

Our greatest failure is not allowing God to be God.  It is the basis for all other failures.  When we allow God to be God...

We will be obedient to His Word.

John 14:15 (KJV)
If ye love me, keep my commandments.

We will hear his voice.

Psalm 85:8 (KJV)
I will hear what God the Lord will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.

We will do His will.

2 Corinthians 8:5 (KJV)
And this they did , not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

We will walk in the Spirit.

Galatians 5:25 (KJV)
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

When we operate under God's faith and not our own, we will live the overcoming and abuandant life promised in the scripture.  We will still have problems, but God will fight our battles. He will turn our curse into a blessing.   When we live for Jesus, plan B is never necessary.

Pray. Read your Bible. Fast. Listen. Be faithful, but always let God be God. You will be glad you did.
