It is such a privilege to be able to serve the Lord. The psalmist wrote...
Psalms 84:10For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Perhaps, we do not fully comprehend the importance of serving the Lord, but eventually we will stand before God and his judgment. If we were to ask ourselves at this very moment if we have done everything that God has asked of us, what would be our answer?
As a pastor, it is a necessity for me to preach the truth for the scripture clearly states that I will be held responsible...
Ezekial 3:17Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
Ezekial 3:18When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
Ezekial 3:19Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
If I compromise the truth, the blood of those that preached to will be upon me, but if I preach the truth found in the Word of God then it is your responsibility. That seems a little blunt, but it is simply the truth of the Word. We need to hold on to the truth and love it so that we can make it to heaven....
Proverbs 23:23Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.
