In reading in Micah this morning, I read this...
Micah 7:18Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.
Micah 7:19He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
These scriptures offer hope to a troubled and sinful world. God is so wonderful and marvelous. He is willing to forgive our sins because he delights in mercy while throwing our sins into the depths of the sea. This is the same awesome God that David wrote...
Psalms 23:1The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Psalms 23:2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
Psalms 23:3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Psalms 23:4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Psalms 23:5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Psalms 23:6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
If you are struggling to find something in your life that is merciful, faithful and just...try Jesus.
